My sweet friends little cutie on Sunday. I adore this pic. Those little eyes💙 No caption. Just peace. Had all the yummy glass out so threw this one together too. 12x14ish? I can’t remember. Finished this dreamy mirror! 24x24” needs a name… One thing I love in mosaic is how the tesserae work like an impressionist painting. You have the stand back and look from afar occasionally to check your work. Make sure the color gradients are spaced evenly and coming along right. These one is spot on. I thought this piece would be more seafoam green but it’s turning out to be more blue-green. But we’ll get to that seafoam once we reach the lightest edges. I’m loving how this is turning out so far 🩵💚💙 Finished! Peace Walk 14x24” glass and grout on wood. I’ve had a Luna moth on my list of animals to mosaic for ages now. Maybe this is the year. March 6, 2020. A week before it all shut down. The start of a week where we noticed the increased helicopter traffic to NIH (we’re in the flight path). Where the grocery shelves started emptying out. A week before we thought it would just be two weeks off school. Phew. Never forget. It’s still here. This weekends snow day project💙
