Happy Birthday to ME! Yesterday!

A day late and a dollar short is pretty much the story of January 2022. I had every intention of throwing out a birthday sale – $44 off for 44 years! For sessions up to 60min long booked in March and April. Alas, It just didn’t happen. If you come across this blog post and are totally down with booking and pre-paying for your session shoot me an email and we will make it happen. That’s simply the sum total of energy I have for marketing this week.

I did find these treasures in a box of stuff that had been stored in my oldest’s closet for ages, probably since before she was born. The audacity of her to bring said stuff down to my office because she wants the closet space! Anyway, this is yours truly circa 1981 – 1988. Roughly in correct order. I think purple sweater and glasses is definitely 6th grade and snowflake sweater is 5th because my ability to “do my bangs” greatly increased upon entrance to middle school. Not quite mall bangs yet but I was on my way. Thank goodness for a mom who ordered pics every year and saved EVERYTHING because I also have a set of my brother from K-11th grade. Not sure why I don’t have his senior year but eh, he looks the same from 10th grade on. Found some gems from camp, from old friends who mailed me pics because we didn’t live near each other, even some old pics I took which are priceless for their elementary (literally) attempt at artfulness. I’ll save those for another day.

If you hire me to do school or team pics I promise your children won’t look as terrified of life as I do in half of these.

Anyway, as for my birthday, meh. The kids got an unplanned snow day for rain (to be fair I think up-county got some of the ice we were supposed to be inundated with), husband was on the phone in his living room office most of the day, we had gone out to eat Wednesday night because Thursday was supposed to be a swim night but that got cancelled, and then while I was cooking dinner the microwave up and died. So I spent last night after ice cream cake and presents online shopping for a new microwave which is now sitting in a box on my kitchen floor. Adulting at it’s finest, am I right?
