i’m still here. more pics to post. more pics to edit.

i had covid 3ish weeks ago (thankfully no worse than a bad cold, and we all had it, and my 36 hours of miserableness was the worst of anyone in the house) but i’m finding i tucker out easily, especially in the recent heat wave. phew! plus the first week with school and swim team (when one of your kids is a coach this year) always hits us like a locomotive. plus, the unemployed husband is back at work which is great, but the upside to him working out of our living room was helping shuttling kids. i’m super thankful today for storms that canceled swim practices because it was going to be one of those days where i was running back and forth 17 times because of different practice times, one kid coaching, a school concert, need for showers before said concert and somehow feeding children in the middle of all that. we have two weeks and tomorrow left of school but everyone is just DONE.

anyway, i’ve got swim pics coming up, some bat mitzvah pics to edit, two clients having books come out this month (one i did the cover for!), some business photos in a few weeks, and two gigantic mosaics to work on. been prepping colors and cuts for those, now i need to prime the backing and mount hardware and start applying glass! super excited about that. thankfully i don’t do a lot of family photos in the summer because it’s so freaking hot and humid but we’ll squeeze a couple in here and there either first thing in the morning or in the golden hour at night with lots of bug spray and water bottles.

adieu, i gotta go take a shower so i can be a proper 5th grade mom for the concert tonight!
